1.Introduction
Today, “Metabo” is often being heard among the Japanese, and they worry about life-style related disease. I think that Japanese foods have low calories; Western foods are heartier than Japanese one and have high calories. However I have heard “U.S is developed country of diet.” Social situation in U.S looks like that of Japan; there are busy office workers, full of foods and a lot of new technology. Therefore I’ll study how U.S. takes measure about healthy of people.
2. Excise in U.S.
Most of American likes sports. Football and basketball are popular in professional world. Not only athletes, civilian have an idea that I keep healthy by myself. In my opinion, they do take care by their selves not to be sick because one-fifth Americans don’t carry insurance. It is more healthy and economical. At the sports gym, sales men had excised before, but recently elder people do, too. In addition to many people do excise walking (EXW), especially in New Yoke. In 1980’s, in New York, sneakers fashioned and many people had been jogging by excise boom. Today, walking is more popular than jogging, because walking is easy to start and, not to tire us. It don’t so get on top our feet. EXW arrived Japan 10 years ago.
3. Diet in U.S.
Japanese food boom change their diet. American used to drink coffee and black tea before, but recently they drink green tea. They like strong taste, so they have put honey or sugar. Otherwise they drink just green tea nowadays. Government also takes measure. It obliges to show content of trans-fat on processed food. Moreover it is also interesting to attend healthy style among pets. Content of vitamin in feeds was increased.
4. Health for children
There are problems; drinking, taking drag, HIV, smoking and reducing physical ability among the young not only in Japan but also in U.S. Then, U.S. government showed『Health People 2000』as a national framework for health policy. It says to prolong healthy life style term, reduce difference on health and use preventive service for all nations. I feel adults try to protect not only own health but also children’s one.
5. Interview to Foreign student
There were more the fat in U.S. than Japan, because they eat high calories foods. They don’t take grain every time, and there are no sweet breads like melon-pan and cream-pan. In spite of them, they eat cake and muffin.
Half of student use school gym and, in Montana, they ski and skate in winter.
6. Conclusion
I’ll conclude with three points. First, I compared thought of health in U.S. and that in Japan. I feel that health situation in U.S is resemble that in Japan. Today, in Japan, a lot of people worry about fat, but not all people excise and take healthy food. I had thought American take care for their health more than Japanese before I asked an American. I saw American students excising in the gym in my school. When I asked the student, he said some people often go MacDonald, and eat snacks. I feel there are hardly differences. However, people take care more than past, in both countries.
Next I found that U.S. and Japan send ideas or information each other. Excise is exposed from U.S. and foods were done from Japan. It is interesting. I think they are in good relationship in health. It is better not to exchange in the two countries, but to spread all over the world. In my opinion, trans-fat are used anywhere, and it is not good for everyone.
At last, Japanese stores have feed which reflect pets’ heath, too. It means that nation afford to take care for their pets. Not all countries has health feed and good treat for pets. In addition to, I have an idea that pets are fat because the owners give feed a lot. I have never seen fat wild animal. It is better to keep the pets to be like live in nature.
I pounded my studies after it. I think that it is better to enjoy keeping health, because it continues for any years. I like excise and eating, so I’m interested in health, and enjoyed this survey. Thanks for this, I got new information, for example, walking is better than running. Health is importance for people, because we can’t anything without it, so I want many people to enjoy keeping own health. I studied just about health in U.S., so I want to learn about that in the other countries. It may give me something news. (767 words)
