I’m a Japanese speaker and my family too. My Japanese learning had started since I was born. I’m sorry I don’t know when I began to learn Japanese. However my memories are with Japanese and Amakusa dialect. On the other hand I remember when I started to study English. It is when I was 4 years old, and I study it yet in my university. I also study Spanish a little. In the future, I want to work with English. Therefore I’ll talk about my English leaning.

In the future, I want to be an international flight attendant. It is need high English skill. Even I can’t be it. I want to work with English. I also enjoy English, seeing movies, watching foreign TV program and listening music. Speaking of other language, I’ll study Spanish. Spanish are used in all over the world, by many speakers. If I speak both of English and Spanish, I could communicate more people, and get more information.

I’ll on trail. I went to English school and enjoy games in English at 4. But I don’t become a good English speaker. Why? I think I spoke easy English just in the school. At home and school, I spoke Japanese mixing with the dialect.

At elementary school, English class started when I was 5th grad. I sang English songs and play game with English. I didn’t learn how to make English sentences. I learned English in earnest at junior high school. At first I learned alphabet. Yet I could write English sentence and read short story in English. The English class program is so speedy. I had a lot of homework and need preparation of the class. When I was a senior high school student, I studied more difficult English. I have oral English class, writing class and reading class. My teacher asked to memory many words, too. At times, I had exam to check how many the words I remember.

Current I study English in KGU. The reason why I major it is that I want to speak English well. And I would like to work with English. I study English every day, but I’m afraid that I can’t speak it fluently, listen and read well. I worry why I can’t be English speaker, and I decide to go the English speaking world for a month. Going and stay there will give me valuable experience and English ability. I hope that. Not only at school, but also I study English at home to pass Eiken and TOIEC. It might help my working in the future.

My learning English started at four, and studied speaking, listening and reading skills and grammar in junior and senior high school. I think, however, it was not practical. It is to pass the exam to enter next school. In my university, I learn more practical English. I want to gain English to use in my life. I need practical English. I would like to say joke in English, and understand American joke, too. (503 words)

Interview report in Speakimg class

I’ll report you our interview about elevators in KGU. Some students gave us new ideas. It was interesting.

Most of the students think more elevators in KGU are need for us. Especially in the 4th building, the 11building and the 12th building, there are not enough ones. There are many classes we often use, and many students are. In the 4th building has 4 floors and the 12th has 5 floor, nut there are only each one elevator. The 11th building has 7 floors. Some stairs are provided, but it is hard to go up to the 6th and the 7th floor. Most of the students use the elevator to go there classes. And it is uncomfortable for wheelchair user. In those classes, a lot of people have been late with congestions. Before class starting, there are often long lines in front of elevators. Therefore I think we need more elevators.

How many elevators do you think we need? The mush answer is 2 in each building. Other is 3 more. It is better to build a few elevators, but it costs a lot to provide an elevator in fact.

By the way, some are sick in it, because of moving and smell. We ask whether they have been sick in it or not, and I found a little students have. I thought there are more students have, so I was surprised. I often feel bad in it.

Not only about elevator, had we surveyed about tunnel connecting buildings and other ones. We use many buildings every day. We feel a groom on rainy days and hot days. Today, ultra-violence shower and stimulate our skin. We need some thing to avoid them, so we have an idea of tunnel. Almost student agree with the idea. They feel like us; ultra violence is danger. Then we think which is better to building the tunnel on the ground or under the ground. Out of my idea, many students said on the ground. I guess it mar the beauty of the scenery to do it on the ground. However some are afraid of incidents. I wound which is better.

Due to this interview, I found we need more elevators, and the tunnel as possible. I hope to get more elevators in KGU. It may give us more comfortable campus life. (387 words)

Servival English Class

I had a survival English class yesterday. I’m going to go to Australia next February in KGU program. The class is to prepare the trip. Ash who is a foreign student in KGU taught us English. He was a student Latorob University that I will go when I stay in Australia. I learned English I will often use in Australian life. After the class, I would like to go Australia soon.

I’ll eat Aussie beef (^^)! I have plans to visit many restaurants with my friends. (86 words)

Traditional Food in Amakusa

Do you know GANEAGE?! This is traditional food in Amakusa. It is like tempura of potato. However we eat it for snack. Its batter is like doughnuts. It is sweet, and I like it!

Yesterday I was in Amakusa, and I cooked it with my mother. There were a lot of potatoes which our neighborhoods gave my family. And I wanted to eat it very much☆

It is easy to cook, but cutting potatoes is heard. Potato is tough. My arm was tired. After cutting potatoes, put them in batter. And Fry them. The batter has flour, egg, sugar and water.

Stew make me warm♡

It was so cold, yesterday. My friend and I backed home with crying “How cold!” I wanted to have hot stew. As soon as I got to home, I cooked spinach stew. I put skim milk for milk. I heard skim milk has low fat and high calcium. Frankly it was not so good. It was thin, so I put more seasoning. It wasn’t like ordinal stew, but it was good. And the stew made me warm. Speaking of winter, hot stew!! (83 words)

Love My Friends

I met my old friends. We hadn’t seen each other since this summer, so I was grad to see them, and talk a lot. I feel always, I met them, they haven’t changed themselves. Therefore I enjoyed talking with them about old memories and how we are.
Last night, it was so cold and rains heavy, but my heart was warm all the time.

In restaurant; Buen, there were a staff who graduated the high school which we also did. He catered some dishes to us for services. I thank him for his kind.

Nabe with Aya (Nov. 9th)

I had dinner with my friend, Aya at my home. She had mush chicken, so we cook pot dish. When she looked row chicken, she cried! It was soft and a little slimy. She said “Rid off fat and wash them closely!” But I thought if I do so, umami might go away, so I said “No! We need to wash so mush!” In spite of that, she washed them very carefully. Then we put vegetable, chicken with soup in a pot. After stew them for about 20 minutes, we put mochi (rice-cake) and stew more.

Having finished ready for dinner, we enjoy it! Mochi was so soft and delicious♡. Chicken we hard cooked was also good. Although there were much ingredient, we ate almost them (^u^)

On next that day, we ate zosui for breakfast. I cooked it with soup of the nabe. Good soup helped me to cook breakfast. I enjoyed the breakfast.

Pot-dish is necessary for Japanese winter. (163 words)

Essay2-02b Website Reviwe Revision

I want to write about my study on websites. I found them about my favorite actor, Cameron Diaz, and Halloween. The reason why I study about them is that I’m interested in both of them, and I want knowledge about them. I learn Cameron’s life, and Halloween is like Japanese obon.

At first, I’ll talk about Cameron Diaz. I admire her. Since her smile is charming, I can’t believe she is 30 years old over. I want to know source of her attraction. I found her smile was well.

According to the website I found, she was called “Skeletor”, because her smile infected others. I felt she has capable to make other smile. I want smile like her.

The website also says that she left home at 16 age, and live in about five countries; Japan, Australia, Mexico, Morocco and France. I envy her. But coming the chance like this, I can’t challenge. I also have an anxiety to go alone. I will be lonely. She is a good challenger. I feel she has become a big star because of invaluable experiences.

I found Cameron got many prize more than I predicted. For example, she was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the “100sexuest Stars” in film history in 1995. And People Magazine chose her as one of the “50 Most Beautiful” people in the world in 1998. People all over the world seem to feel she is beauty and affective.

Next I’ll explain about Halloween. Halloween is coming soon! I long for Halloween parade to dress-up and walk around saying “Trick or treat”. I have never done yet. I don’t know about it well, so I learn.

A website about Halloween tell us object of Halloween, each counties’ traditional of Halloween and so on. It says Halloween is All Hollows Eve. The day, on November 1st, is an important date on the Catholic calendar. I have understood Christmas is a Christian event, but I found Halloween is, too. Therefore Halloween provides all over the world. Each countries seem to have different traditional. It is interesting. I want to try to visit these countries on the day!

Halloween is a time to observe and honor saints. People believed that the souls of the dead come back to earth to visit their families or friends on Nov.1. I feel this is similar with Japanese obon. On the day, Japanese light Japanese lanterns. On Halloween, lanterns made from pumpkin are lighted. Don’t you feel they are similar?

I think Halloween has exciting a ceremony whish obon doesn’t have. It is to dress-up and walk around the town asking “Trick or treat”, I said before. The parade is to discourage and frighten away these spirits. They believe the spirits are evils. While Japanese believe spirits are our ancestors, and my family. So I think we don’t have noisy ceremony like Halloween. (479 words)

Banana-cake with mom (Nov. 2nd)

I cooked banana-cake with my mother. There are ripe bananas and many eggs, so we had to cook them. My mother is a good chef. I learned how to cook the cake from her. Cut banana. Mix egg, flour and baking-pounder. We don’t put batter. I cooked it for the first time, but it was good. Everyone said it was delicious. It took about 30 min. except time to bake. Back home, I would like to cook cakes with other fruit with my mother. (84words)

Homework in Speaking class

1. People should drive cars more than take buses or train. The reason is recently the swine flu infects all over the world, and it has killed a lot of people. We must avoid the situation people crowd like in buses and trains.

2. Children should be allowed to use the Internet anytime, even when parent aren’t watching. Parents have to trust children. They also have rights of free. However they can’t distinguish between good information and bad information well. Parent control the computer not to accuses illegal websites.

3. The government should force everyone to get a swine flu shot this month. It is fatal and infectious ill. It has splendid all over the world. Then some young people dead. Nobody knows who has the virus, and the flu will kill. We need quick measures.

4. If someone gives you a present, you shouldn’t always give them one in return. I think if you give them something in return, they feel care more. Otherwise they may think they have to give you better one. On some situation, you have to just tell your gratitude. (185 words)
